ROC2C PROJECT: COAT OF ARMS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ALCOCHETE
Praise for inspiration in natural resources.
Alcochete. Village full of charms. Built on the Arab influences, so widespread in the Setúbal area, this village is also known for hosting the Tejo Estuary Natural Reserve. In fact, it is a special area, which is characterized by several salt marshes, where we find different species of water birds that will nest there.
It was, therefore, at this juncture and drinking from this history that we proudly accepted the challenge of the Municipality of Alcochete. The challenge was ambitious: to design, in Portuguese pavement, the municipality's coat of arms, in a roundabout with a privileged location. Our master pavement makers strived to live up to the local history, meticulously applying stones that reflected the colors of the coat of arms — from the red granite of Venezuela to the green crystallized stone, which originated in stalactite caves. Here lies the attention to detail: none of the town's heritage has been left to chance. And therefore, we are very happy with the final result.
