ROC2C DEVELOPS BENCH IN PORTUGUESE COBBLESTONE FOR CULTURE EDITIONS

In 2018 we went challenged by designer Ricardo Magalhães, from the Covet House group, to build a Portuguese Cobblestone bench for the Culture Editions project.

This project reflects on the experimental spirit of artisans, artists and designers, the dialogue between arts and design, and the sharing of ideas and experiences for the materialization of excellence in unique artistic objects.

The
bench was another challenge worked within our Stone Laboratory (ROC2C space where we test and develop innovative stone products) combining the experience of our artisans with the renewed vision of designer Ricardo Magalhães, resulting in a unique object where the materiality of the technique stands out. of the naturalness of the materials.

Respecting the original mold proposed by the designer, we worked and built stone by stone our own approach to the bench resulting in the contemporaryity of our handmade stonework technique.

Our
bench - SIDEWALK - was present in conjunction with the approaches of other Portuguese craft techniques at the 2019 edition of the Luxury Design Craftsmanship Summit.
